After the arrest of the head priest at the suspicion of the highest law of the land, a General, soon to be promoted, now stands in the middle of the problem. Are the stories of his former lover true and he's found himself stuck under the allure of a traitor to the kingdom, or is the demise of the priest, once dead and now making his way through that of the King's estate, leading him down the truth of how much blood has truly been spilt behind closed doors.

Here lies the tragedy of a broken couple and the rise of something worse than a blood hungry king.

And the birth of a vengeful creature hungry for death.

So, why this?

The story came from the idea that stems from the original story about an elder vampire who fell in love with a chimera. The premise for both came sometime back in 2016 in terms of concept and idea. I wanted to do a retelling of the creation of vampires. Though the original story doesn't tell that arc, I wanted to do it in this one.

Many vampire stories are these seductive tales or indepth love stories, but I wanted tragedy. I wanted it directly at the end of the story of watching relationships fall apart and attempt to mend while a fire is eating the city behind them. No one here gets a happy ending was the path I wanted and the path currently sits at a bittersweet sadness of knowing that the world isn't changing and those involved have pushed themselves to a top they never really wanted.
