“Trust that I shan’t chase for your hand. Yet t’would it be there, I would bless my skin within your touch-- to feel a joy and absolute quixotic and utterly euphoric spike in that of my saddening soul. Know that just the brush of your fingers is vexatious-- destroyingly foolish... And it’s all I crave."

Within the embrace of The Powder Society, there is no judgment here. No enemies. No religion. No terror. There are stories about what happens within those clubs owned by the members and the one known most is that of The Rose Room. All of the stories of adultry, hiding murders and rapist, all rumors of course to make those within its embrace seem like nothing but predators and monsters when in truth, the club sits within high society, only holding its creative types to standards laced in gold.

Here, in Istella, The Rose Room is a club within the Powder Society that does not hide itself as its counterparts do. Loudly they speak of their sexualities and gender, but also do they push in finding love within rivalries.

But this is not the story of The Rose Room. This is a story of two artists stuck in a situation they hope to escape.

Information.

man idk.

A proper romance tackled by someone who does not know how to not make it only about banging big monster bois. I wanted to tackle a somewhat serious story of strained love and confused feeling of not quite understanding what it's like to notice that you may be interested in the same sex. Rather than using my normal route of fantasy to just dance with the idea in a space where it's all accepted, I wanted to hold a touch of realism in this where distress and fear is not just a drive, but also a focus in trying to either keep your mouth shut or mind motivated.

The story is not intended to be a tragedy, but things happen. At the moment the story is in its draft baby stages where the story has changed, but not the plot. The plot will remain the same of a love story between two painters. I like to use art to express a scene I mentally cannot write. Though I am not on the skill level of these Masters, that doesn't mean I won't try, god damn it.

Characters.

just some dudes.
